Why SBA Loans?
SBA Loans are funding options intended to help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners get their companies off the ground or expand existing operations. SBA Loans can be used to purchase commercial real estate and business assets, including equipment and inventory. For small businesses seeking the capital and guidance to start, grow, or expand, an SBA Loan can be a powerful tool to fuel your goals.
Who qualifies?
Eligible businesses must be for-profit and meet SBA standards. Eligibility for an SBA loan is determined by factors like business structure, credit profile, and collateral.
Examples of eligible businesses include storage facilities, private medical facilities and equipment needs for dentists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, urgent cares, funeral homes pharmacies, heavy equipment, franchises, nursing homes, owner occupied commercial real estate, veterinarian practices, jewelry stores, technology, landscaping, attorneys, florists, vending, transportation, manufacturing, life insurance independent agents.
What kinds of businesses don’t qualify?
Examples of ineligible businesses include non-profits, passive holders of real estate, life insurance companies, pyramid sales, gambling, businesses restricting patronage, religious organizations, cooperatives, prior loss to government, political or lobbying activities, speculation, finance companies, investment companies.
Is there a maximum loan amount?
The SBA 7(a) program sets a maximum loan amount of $5 million.
